Description
In this book, Father Francis Larkin, SS.CC., traces the historical background of the Enthronement movement and gives many examples of its striking effects on the homes into which it has been introduced. And, for anyone not yet familiar with this important spiritual movement, he outlines how to begin and practice the Enthronement of the Sacred Heart in home or school and everywhere. Included in the book is the text of the magnificent Sacred Heart encyclical of Pope Pius XII, Haurietis Aquas.

The author studied for the priesthood in Belgium, and was ordained there. He is the first American-born priest of the Congregation of the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary, of which Father Damien was a member. Father Larkin was national director of the Enthronement of the Sacred Heart in the Home from 1943 to 1960. Prior to assuming this post, he taught philosophy for eight years at the Sacred Hearts Seminary in Washington, DC.
