Cindy Kleh started skiing as a child in Vermont. Her passion for snowboarding began when she moved to Colorado, and she is never happier than when she's out in the "freshies" during a glorious "powder" day. She began writing a regular snowboarding column for Summit Outdoors magazine in the 1990's, covering everything relating to the sport, from gear to skier/snowboard conflict, competition, and backcountry. She also writes for Ten Mile Times and Mountain Gazette Magazine. Cindy is a certified level I AASI snowboard instructor, and has competed at national level since 1999, winning medals in boardercross, GS and slalom for women.
