Description
The Book

The Philosophy of Communism is a clear exposition of the principles of Communism as taught by Marx and Lenin and is based on those authoritative sources which area accepted by the Communist International. Originally published in 1939, this edition contains new material regarding the present impact of Communism on world affairs.

The Philosophy of Communism has been recognized and used as one of the outstanding studies of the Communist dialectic, and it has been translated into several languages.

The Author

Charles J McFadden, OSA, PhD, is a Professor of Philosophy at Villanova University who for many years has been teaching one of the first courses on Communism to be scheduled in the curriculum of an American university. Besides The Philosophy of Communism, Father McFadden has also written several books on Medical Ethics and has travelled extensively throughout Central and South America (including trips to Cuba before and after Castro's takeover), the Middle East and Europe (including a trip to Russia in the summer of 1962).
