Description
The eminent service rendered by the Rev. Dr. Fahey, through the publication of his KINGSHIP OF CHRIST ACCORDING TO THE PRINCIPLES OF ST. THOMAS AQUINAS (Browne & Nolan, Ltd. 3s. 6. net) is continued and supplemented in the present volume, which, however, is in itself a complete and thoroughly comprehensive presentation. It is an English adaptation of a French work of great distinction undertaken by the Re. A. Philippe, CSSR, in response to a widespread desire for a clear statement of the doctrine of the Kingship of our Lord in catechetical form. The importance of a sure grasp of the conceptions involved cannot be over-rated, especially at a time when truth is liable to be obscured and confused amid the mass of conflicting and erroneous opinions which abound in current literature and in the Press. Thus the earnest reader who wishes to be fully informed on the subject has in Dr. Fahey's book an authoritative source source of instruction, and an unfailing guide. The value of the present version has been appreciably increased by the additional matter which the translator has introduced, as well as by his more extended treatment of certain points of particular interest to Irish Catholics.
