These letters of Father Solanus Casey provide a fascinating insight into his spirituality, character, and journey of faith. His good humor, his awareness of the world about him, his obviously deep intimacy with the Lord and the kingdom of God, are just some of the aspects of his personal faith, which give witness to his remarkable life. Father Solanus' "ecumenical spirit" even before the Second Vatican Council is heart-warming. Trust in Divine Providence of this Capuchin friar expresses a sense of warmth and joy. His witness through these letters once again affirms the reality so frequently found in our Church of an extraordinary holiness of life demonstrated in ordinary everyday living. - William S Skylstad, DD, Bishop of Spokane, Washington.

This wonderful compilation of the warmth, wit and wisdom of our beloved Capuchin brother Solanus Casey is compelling! Spirituality - our response to God - is expressed in the current of our experience. These letters are living testimonials to this humble, Capuchin-Franciscan friar's spirituality. The purity of Solanus' distilled faith is nectar for his friends and companions along the way. Solanus' letters are an anointing for our weary souls. His gentle words giv3e flesh to the faith, hope and love that were harbored in this great spirit. - Daniel J Fox, OFM Cap., Provincial Minister, Province of St Joseph of the Capuchin Order.

A warm and compelling insight into the remarkable life of Father Solanus Casey. Told simply and directly in his own words, this collection of his letters is a joy to the soul and to the spirit. - Neal Shine, Retired Publisher, The Detroit Free Press.
